Vector-y Goodness
I've admitted that I'm horribly addicted to Photoshop. This is true and has not yet changed. But there was always one thing I was reluctant to try. Vector drawing. It just seemed too complicated, to be honest. If I want to draw a curved line, why can't I just draw the bloody curved line? I shouldn't need anchor points. I don't sketch with anchor points! So I avoided the whole mess. For many, many years.
I decided to give it a go last night. Why last night? I don't know. But I should remember to never start projects after midnight. The first one didn't take very long, but the second took me nearly two hours. It was nearly 4 A.M. before I got to bed.
I kept the first simple..

Yes, eyes. What else were you expecting?
I got a bit more complicated with the second...

Not too shabby for my second go, eh?
I have a new addiction.

That looks very cool. Trying to draw using a mouse always seems like punishment to me.
wow, pretty impressive. puts my stick figures to shame!
ok while bloger is being so damn kind and letting me comment i am going to get my monies worth. so with the vector program, is it specifically for those who are able to draw etc or does it cater from numbnuts like me who haven't a clue? the second pic is quite amazing.
glomgold- Thanks! I always felt like that, too. Until recently. There's something strangely zen about it now.
Michelle- I drew it in Photoshop using the line tool. It takes some getting used to because you're not just drawing a line. You set various anchor points along the line and then bend it how you like. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple.
